2010 Swap Meet Information

Much of the New England Antique Radio Club activity focuses around the club swap meets. These events provide club members with an opportunity to gather together to buy, sell and trade radios, TVs, parts, tubes, books, magazines and, most importantly, the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other radio collectors. The public is always invited to attend and enjoy a day of radio fun and nostalgia.

  • NEARC membership is required to rent tables and be a dealer at these flea-market format swap meets.

  • Dealer tables are available for $15 each with Prepaid-by-Mail Reservations. Advance reservation "green" forms are mailed to all NEARC members. Reservations are prepaid (check, money order or cash) and must be mailed in time to be received at least one day BEFORE the swap meet date. Phone and email reservations will NOT be accepted.

  • Non-members may become swap meet dealers by joining NEARC for $12 and paying for your rental table(s), if any tables are still available.

  • Dealer setup is from 7:30 AM (+/-) to 8:30 AM.

  • Please contact Swap Meet Chairman Charlie Perkett at (603) 898-4821 for information about table availability. You must be a NEARC member to rent swap meet tables but everybody can come, enjoy the swap meet and buy an old radio that brings back memories.

Swap Meet Contest Categories

April 17, 2010 - Manchester Bingo Center, Manchester, NH
      Contest Categories:
      • RCA -- One of the earliest and longest-lasting names in radio and TV, the Radio Corporation of America was a major force in the development and popularizing of electronic equipment of all sorts. Here we'll concentrate on the radios RCA made and sold over the decades. Bring out your Radiolas, your portables, your consoles, your favorite RCA set.
      • Music Player -- More than just phonographs, music players might now well include MP3 players, cassette recorders, 8-tracks, Edison cylinder players and much more. What interesting item do you have that can play music? Let's see it!
      • Millen -- James Millen (W1HRX) was a leading player in radio (particularly ham radio) for much of the 20th century. A New England native, his designs found use all over the world in the National HRO receivers, his own company's products, and equipment made for others like GE and RCA. What items honoring James Millen do you have to share with us? Equipment, components, letters, QSL cards?
