2010/2011 Swap Meet Information

Much of the New England Antique Radio Club activity focuses around the club swap meets. These events provide club members with an opportunity to gather together to buy, sell and trade radios, TVs, parts, tubes, books, magazines and, most importantly, the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other radio collectors. The public is always invited to attend and enjoy a day of radio fun and nostalgia.

  • NEARC membership is required to rent tables and be a dealer at these flea-market format swap meets.

  • Dealer tables are available for $15 each with Prepaid-by-Mail Reservations. Advance reservation "green" forms are mailed to all NEARC members. Reservations are prepaid (check, money order or cash) and must be mailed in time to be received at least one day BEFORE the swap meet date. Phone and email reservations will NOT be accepted.

  • Non-members may become swap meet dealers by joining NEARC for $12 and paying for your rental table(s), if any tables are still available.

  • Dealer setup is from 7:30 AM (+/-) to 8:30 AM.

  • Please contact Swap Meet Chairman Charlie Perkett at (603) 898-4821 for information about table availability. You must be a NEARC member to rent swap meet tables but everybody can come, enjoy the swap meet and buy an old radio that brings back memories.

Swap Meet Contest Categories

October 2, 2010 - Manchester Bingo Center, Manchester, NH
      Contest Categories:
      • Lafayette -— The Lafayette name has been around for years, selling parts and radios through catalogs and stores. It was the "Radio Shack" of its day, with a broad if not fancy product line, so there are lots of Lafayette items out there in people's collections. Let's see anything with that Lafayette name on it: radios, phonographs, Ham gear, accessories, etc.
      • Military Radio -— Radio and electronics have been used by the Armed Forces since the earliest days of wireless, and it's always interesting equipment. Whether it was designed for use in the trenches, trucks, submarines or aircraft, military radio gear has eventually found its way into the hands of collectors. Dig into your collection, and bring out those Command Sets, Walkie-Talkies, BC-610s, spy radios, whatever. Let's see them!
      • Magazines -— Would it have been possible for radio to become the commonplace thing that it is without all the wonderful magazines that catered to every aspect of the art? For almost the entire 20th century, and continuing today, magazines about radio have informed, inflamed and inspired people. Some of them have become collector's items themselves. What radio/electronics-related magazines do you have that still stir your enthusiasm? Share them with us.
